Can you imagine an actor who makes it big inspite of not possessing the 'killer good looks' and an awesome physique?

In an industry driven by glamour and good looks, great importance is given to looking good on camera and appealing to the taste of the audience. However, a person who made a mark in tinselville without any 'great looks' to support his acting skills is veteran
Amitabh Bachchan. However, now we see that his son
Abhishek is closely following his footsteps.
Abhishek Bachchan made his foray in the film industry with J.P Dutta's
Refugee. Abhishek has got his own unique style but to some extent his acting and dancing is a reflection of his father.
HIS CHILDHOOD AND SCHOOLINGAbhishek was the only son of bollywood actor and legendry figure Amitabh Bachchan and actress Jaya Bachchan. He was born on 11 February 1976. This Aquarian boy had done his schooling from Bombay Scottish School and continued at Jamnabhai. After completing his Schooling in Switzerland, he later attended Boston University. Since he was more interested in acting than studying business in United States, his father Amitabh Bachchan supported his decision, and he joined films.
HIS JOURNEY FROM REFUGEE TO GURUAbhishek made his foray into films in 2002 with J.P Dutta's
Refugee opposite
Kareena Kapoor.
Refugee tells the story of a youth who believes he doesn't belong to any particular nationality. Living in a hamlet located on the border of Pakistan,
Refugee (that's what he is called by the villagers!) carries out the illegal activity of taking civilians to Pakistan and forth Abhishek's acting was appreciated in the film. Abhishek also acted as a child artist in 1984,
Preet Na Jaane Reet. His other films include
Tera jadoo chal gayaa (2000),
Dhai Aksar Prem ke (2000),
Bas Itna sa khwab hai(2001),
Haan maine bhi pyar kya (2002),
shararat(2002) basically in those movies he played the role of a lover boy. But the film did not do well in the box-office. His work was not acclaimed.
Zameen (2003),
Bunty Aur Babli,(2006)
Dus(2005),
Sarkar (2005),
Bluff Master (2005) are the movies which indeed proved his mettle.. Although critics shunned him for his voice, he proved them wrong by rapping for Rohan Sippy's
Bluffmaster (2005). Where he sang 'Ek mein Aur Ek Tu hai. His first 2006 release, the multi-starrer
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) received mixed reaction at the box office. His second of 2006 release of 2006
Umrao Jaan failed to do well at the box office. His third release
Dhoom 2, a sequel to his first hit
Dhoom has done very well at the box office.
The most turning point of his career was Mani Ratman's
Yuva (2006). It was a multistarrer film, with a big star cast that included
Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi,
Rani Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor and
Esha Deol to name a few. Here he played a 28 year- old rustic and intense role of Lallan Singh. Abhi, as he is fondly known does not bother what people say about him. He is a rugged character. The film earned him the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award and every other supporting actor award at the major film award functions. In 2004 he starred in
Dhoom which was the first box office hit of his career .
His most talked film is the recently released
Guru.
Guru represents a laborious piece of work from Mani Ratnam and his cast. Abhishek Bachchan's performance is undoubtedly on of the tremendous efforts any bollywood actor could come up with. Finally a boy showing up the quality of his genes inherited from his father, Amitabh Bachchan. The film was greatly appreciated by the audience. The story was based on famous industrialized Dhirubhai Ambani. It was his first solo performance and the film has emerged his first true solo hit at the box office. Thus gradually his perforance kept growing.
ABHISHEK'S PERSONAL LIFE-A little after Abhishek broke-up with Karisma Kapoor, rumours of Abhishek Bachchan - Rani Mukherjee romance gained momentum. The rumour is that their love story had taken off on the sets of Mani Ratnam's film
Yuva. However, attention shifted from Rani to
Aishwarya Rai when Abhi began seeing Ash. Abhishek and Aishwarya got engaged on January 14, 2007, and the wedding is expected to take place anytime this year
ABHI'S CO-STARMost of his films were multistarrer and he acted with almost all the male and female actor. Very often his and Rani's pair is compared with that of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. He gave many hits with Rani -
Bus Itna Sa Khwab Hai, Yuva, Bunty Aur Babli and
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. In various occasions his name is associated with model Dipanita Sharma.
ABHI'S AISHAbhishek's and Aishwarya wedding is the most hot topic of discussion now a days. He has shared screen space with Aish in
Umrao Jaan and
Guru, and now he will be sharing his life with Aish. After their engagement, preparations of wedding are going on. The date of their marriage has not yet been fixed. Their marriage is being compared to that of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Their wedding is expected to be the most happening and memorable one, and is likely to be held in Jaipur or Gwalior. May the Lady charm bring more pride to Abhishek's career.
